  • St Mary’s Field Cemetery

Opened in April 2016, Gamlingay’s new cemetery is situated behind St Mary’s Church on St Mary’s field. The cemetery is mainly laid out in lawned sections for formal burials , there is also a cremated remains section, a woodland area, enclosed plots and a dedicated childrens section.

The public footpath which formerly ran diagonally across the site has been legally diverted (Oct 17) and now runs alongside the cemetery, seperated by a beech hedge.  Dogs are welcome to accompany their owners through the gates and car park to access the public footpath but NO DOGS are permitted into the cemetery itself.

There are restrictions on the types of memorial permitted in each section – please consult the Clerks for more information.
